The Explorer is Sundown Safaris' most action-packed short format. Over three full days, your certified field guide runs fast-paced tracking loops across private conservancy land that most tourists never access. Expect early mornings, long hours in the field, and sightings that justify every second.
This package includes volcanic cross-country terrain access, active bush walks with armed rangers, and proprietary tracking routes developed over seven years of field operations. Ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups who want maximum ground covered.
Day by Day
Your Itinerary
Arrival & Evening Game Drive
Picked up from Nairobi or Masai Mara airstrip. Transfer to eco-lodge for briefing with your guide. Afternoon game drive covering open plains — high probability of big cat sightings at dusk. Dinner at camp.
Full Day Deep-Field Tracking
5:30am departure. Full day on private conservancy tracks covering predator territories mapped by our guides. Bush lunch in the field. Afternoon session targeting river crossings and watering holes. Return at sunset.
Morning Drive & Departure
Final dawn game drive before 9am. Hot breakfast at camp. Transfer back to airstrip or Nairobi.
