What to Expect
The Trailblazer covers ground most Kenya safaris never reach. Starting in Samburu, you'll track northern Kenya's unique species — Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich — before moving south to the Masai Mara.
Our guides are specialists in both environments and the inter-region transfer is handled entirely by Sundown Safaris with no logistical gaps.

Nairobi to Samburu
Morning flight to Samburu. Afternoon arrival game drive. Briefing on Samburu's unique northern species.
Full Day Samburu
Dawn departure. Full day tracking Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, leopard, and Beisa oryx across dry riverbed corridors.
Samburu to Masai Mara
Morning game drive in Samburu. Midday transfer flight south. Check-in and afternoon drive in new ecosystem.
Full Day Masai Mara
Full day big cat focus — lion, leopard, cheetah. River crossing positioning if migration season.
Morning Drive & Departure
Final dawn drive. Breakfast. Return to Nairobi.
